Vom Eisenherz German Shepherds
On this page, we will post all planned, expected, and recently whelped litters. It is recommended that those seriously interested contact sooner than later, as inquiries are received daily, and some planned litters have reservations well in advance. We typically have a litter only every year or two, so be prepared to wait; they're worth it.

Envy Krasnoocko
Envy and Drago have been bred for early summer puppies. Detailed descriptions of each can be found by clicking their names and visiting their individual entries. This is Envy's second litter and we are expecting high drive puppies with the ability to settle and strong nerves and bone. Her first litter was a healthy litter of 8 strong, vigorous pups who went mostly to working homes, but all live as pets as well. I expect the same from this litter, but Drago could bring additional calmness, and also hardness. Envy stamped her pups with her phenotype and I would expect that again. Pups will be sable or black.

Puppies from Envy and Nox should be extremely versatile. High drive, medium high energy, and super stability in nerve. They may be too drivey for purely companion homes, as both bring a lot of drive and power. Nox in particular can be a lot to handle in the protection phase, but is so confident and stable that he has no trouble being a much beloved house dog for his young friends. He serves as both protector and pillow. ;-)
3rd generation mine, he's a grandson of my foundation female, V Capri vom Hagenberg. He was a standout pup from birth, so I sent him to my trusted friend to raise and keep local for future breeding. I cannot find fault with Nox. He is unflappable in his confidence and rock solid in every way. Perfect health and temperament, if a bit higher intensity than some might like. Better photos are coming! He has GORGEOUS structure- he's as close to perfect as I've ever seen.
This is Envy's first litter, but I have bred others from her bloodlines. I would expect outgoing, confident handfuls of drive and attitude that will mature to be much more pleasant than they were at 12 weeks. Envy was a hellion as a puppy but is an immensely enjoyable dog at 3.
Pups will be dark sable or black, should have good substance, be correctly sized, have beautiful heads and SG to V structure, as well as super health in all aspects. Low animal aggression probability, zero handler-aggression expected. Awesome prospects for those seeking a true working dog who can do equally well as a family companion *if given a productive outlet for their drive.*

Drago & Veronika
FULLY RESERVED
Veronika has been bred to Drago and pups are expected the last week in May.
Veronika's first litter was amazing; pups were high drive across the board, incredibly intelligent, healthy, had great structure and excellent handler focus. Tons of versatility for many activities and venues.
This will be Drago's first litter. I hope pups inherit his calmness, his seriousness, and his incorruptible character. Drago's incredible sire, Quando vom Haus van Hipp, has produced very well and is still producing at well over 12 years old. This is a bloodline valued for longevity as well as working characteristics. Drago's dam, Lea vom Glockeneck, is in excellent shape at 11years old, and has a history of producing police, military, and customs dogs.
Pups will most likely be best suited to working homes or experienced sport homes, but could likely appeal to the active family or individual seeking a personal protection dog for the family. They should be safe with children and neutral toward other pets (opposite gender dogs, of course), possess very high drive, high possessiveness, above-average willingness to please, and excellent structure. I expect high versatility and superb health and hardiness overall.
Not recommended for those seeking a Golden Retriever temperament in a GSD body. Both parents have strong aggression when warranted, as German Shepherds are supposed to have. Excellent potential for great workers in this breeding- low potential for couch potatoes or the type to be mentally satisfied with a walk around the block and 20 minutes of Chuck-It. High potential to take advantage of incompetent or lazy handling.

Bravo (left) x Dora (right)
Dora had 5 beautiful, fat, healthy pups on March 5. This is a REPEAT breeding of our J litter. Dora does not carry for coats, so none of the puppies will be coated. They will, however, carry a recessive for coats.
Previous pups from this litter are excelling in working homes (IPO, lure coursing, agility), have won in the show ring (UKC and SV-style, not AKC), and are also able to live as pets in active companion homes, provided they are given an outlet for their drive. This is a fairly high-caliber working pedigree; please do not inquire about these pups if you are looking for a dog to adorn the sofa. They are not hyper, but they are STRONGLY driven. Behavior with other animals has been excellent. Neither parent has any issues with aggression toward cats or dogs of any size. Of course, most of "dog aggression" has more to do with handling than the dog itself unless the dog is genetically hard-wired for it, which these most certainly are not.
Tenacity is high- these pups are best suited toward those wanting a working partner or full-time companion and least suited those wanting a Golden Retriever temperament that will be content sitting in a crate all day and exercised for 15 minutes in the evenings.

Pups of this pairing should be medium to medium-large size, very heavy bone, GORGEOUS correct working structure and outstanding temperament. They should be clear-headed, stable, highly intelligent, with high prey drive, and possess medium-high to high aggression when warranted. Animal aggression should be minimal to non-existent.
This litter should produce a very driven, yet balanced working dog who could also excel in the show ring. This is Madox's first litter, but Aria's last. She has produced absolutely wonderful dogs serving in a multitude of venues. She has produced quite consistently in many ways, despite being bred to very different studs. Like her mother, V Capri vom Hagenberg, my foundation, she produces herself very strongly and buyers need to be prepared to get a lot more than a pretty face with an Aria pup of either gender. Aria pups are *working* pups. You must be prepared to channel working temperament appropriately. I do not mean high energy. I mean high aggression, high tenacity, and high drives in general. A few games of Chuck-It and a lap around the block aren't going to cut it. Mental stimulation and an outlet for pent up aggression/frustration/drive are necessities.
Many references are available if you're interested and would like to talk with owners of previous Aria pups. Homes will be screened and I will require that you speak with previous/current owners, particularly if interested in a male. It is imperative that buyers know exactly what they're getting. These are phenomenal dogs...in the right hands. These pups are for handlers, not admirers or spectators.
