FOR ADOPTION
Ugo vom Eisenherz
DOB 2-17-19
V Madox von der Emsaue, IPO3, KKL
Amey zo Salibskeo dvora, IPO1
Available as of November 10, 2023
Ugo is looking for a new home with someone seeking a really smart, driven companion or someone interested in dabbling in a sport. He's an "up for anything" type dog with nice drive and a great ability to settle. He has been kept as a pet his entire life, so he is NOT started in IGP phases, but he could still be a fun one to work as a hobby. He would also enjoy scent work or tracking and would likely love Barn Hunt or other "fun" sports.
He seems to love children and historically has always been good with them. He is a beautiful dog, even with his broken ear (not soft, injured). He has substance and a real presence to him and would be a super companion for anyone who wants to really make him part of their lives. He has shown no interest in horses and has been fine with our cats. He is too strong of a dog temperamentally to live with other males unless you are a top notch handler. He has some quirks from a lack of structure, but nothing worse than most American pets.
He is intact and we would be open to a guardian situation for him with breeding rights retained should he pass all of his health testing and be actively working toward a title in some venue. If he leaves the area to a pet home, he will need to have a vasectomy or neuter contract. A really nice dog dealt a bad hand.
He will be placed on a contract with no fee except a donation to K-9 Victory Project.

COURTESY POST FOR A FRIEND:
Can we find Ren(egade) her perfect home? DOB 8-18-18 (Madox/Amey), this is really a lovely dog that's just not in her perfect situation. A dog dynamic issue is the reason for rehoming.
Ren is good with male dogs and respectful older female dogs (read: dogs she knows will kill her), good with people and children, has coexisted with a cat, likes to annoy horses but means no harm, but doesn't appreciate "sneaky weasel bitches" (her words, not mine) encroaching on her territory.
She will not hesitate to get into a barroom brawl with these types.
Ren was spayed via OSS so she is hormonally intact for health reasons but cannot have a litter or get pyometra.
Ren would thrive with more one-on-one time with a dedicated handler. She's been raised a house dog. Healthy and fun, much like her mother. Low rehoming fee for approved family.
Ren can be transported to Illinois or can be picked up in New Jersey anytime. TEXT 609-425-9672 FOR INFO. OWNER'S NAME IS JULIE.
Pedigree of her littermate: https://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2820981-rook-vom-eisenherz?_v=20220613194104
